Archive for the ‘Stuff’ Category

A great opportunity has just cropped up in my area – a group of local artists have gained access to an empty shop and are running a two month long ‘pop up’ art show/sale.

My stuff (my steampunk-style lighting, welded metal sculpture, home and garden accessories etc) is being shown in the second week, 10th to 19th November.

Click here to download a flyer for my part of the show (Pop Up Shop Flyer) but see the shop website here for more details on all the artists taking part, opening times, location etc >>

It looks fantastic when the light shows through it – the photo doesn’t do it justice!

Hand Made Xmas Part 1

I was really fortunate to receive two beautiful hand made presents this year at Christmas, and so I thought I’d share them with you!

Here’s the first, made by my old mate GG.  It’s really accurately made (as you’d expect from the highly capable engineer that he is!), fashioned from recycled materials, and even incorporates my logo inlayed into the beautifully shaped wooden handle:

toast!

toast!

As the photo implies, it’s a device for making toast – either over an open fire or over a camping stove. There are two levels of mesh, slightly offset so that the flames wont scorch the bread.

I can’t wait to try it out… although it’s such an attractive piece I am slightly hesitant  to spoil it in the fire…

As ever, many thanks to all of you that have commented or contacted me through the blog this year – it makes it all worthwhile!
