Copper finds from Lille

I had the good fortune to go to Lille for the day this week (surprisingly easy from London on the Eurostar – many thanks to SM for the opportunity!)
Wandering round the streets in the glorious sunshine, I took some shots of lots of brass and copper things I came across. Here are some fairly random photos:
I loved the shiny brass plaques set against the dark grey of this doorway. My own front door looks very similar at the moment, but only because it's been left as undercoat for over six months or so - I never seem to have the opportunity to apply the top coat!)
This doorway has a very art deco/steampunk feel

The copper-clad Crown Plaza (near the station) looked fantastic in the setting sun!

Finally I found two old 1 Cent pieces (one on the street, one wedged into the tray-table recess on the train) so these will take pride of place in one of my new constructs very soon I hope! Sorry about the terrible photos - taken on a napkin on the trip home!
